Ordu Protestan Kilisesi Rahibi Amerikalı Tom Scott ve Julie Scott’ın kızı Lydia ile Amerikalı Chad Harris ve  Daria Harris’in oğlu Daniel Harris Ordu’da yapılan görkemli bir düğünle evlendiler. 

Türkiye sevdalısı olduğunu ve Türkleri çok sevdiğini söyleyen Tom Scott, Amerika’ya gelin gidecek olan kızı Lydia'ya Türk geleneklerine göre kına ve düğün yaptı. Uzun zamandır Ordu Protestan Kilisesi Rahipliğini yapan Tom Scott, Karadeniz Bayrak Gazetesine yapığı açıklamada şunları dile getirdi; “Uzun yıldır Ordu Protestan Kilisesi Rahipliğini yapıyorum.  Türkiye sevdalısıyım ve Türkleri çok seviyorum. Kızımın Ordu'daki kına ve  düğününü de Türk örf ve adetlerine göre  yaptık.”

Düğüne Protestan Kiliseler Vakıf Başkanı ve Samsun Protestan Kilisesi Pastörü Orhan Pıçaklar ve çok sayıda davetli katıldı.

Öte yandan Ordu’daki kına ve düğünün ardından genç çifte Amerika'da da bir düğün merasimi yapılacağı belirtildi.

Congratulations to Lydia Scott and Daniel Harris. Lydia, the daughter of Ordu Protestant Church Priest, American Tom Scott and Julie Scott, and Daniel Harris, son of American Chad Harris and Daria Harris, got married in a magnificent wedding in Ordu. Tom Scott said that he loves Turkey and Turks very much. Scott held a henna and wedding ceremony for his daughter Lydia, who was going to be a bride to America, according to Turkish traditions. Tom Scott, who has been a longtime Ordu Protestant Church Priest, expressed the following in his statement to Karadeniz Bayrak Newspaper; “I have been the Ordu Protestant Church Priest for many years. I am a lover of Turkey and I love Turks very much. We made my daughter's henna and wedding in Ordu according to Turkish customs.” The President of the Protestant Churches Foundation and Samsun Protestant Church Pastor Orhan Pıçaklar and many guests attended the wedding. It was stated that after the henna and wedding ceremony in Ordu, a wedding ceremony will be held in America for the young couple.
